clear things up

So I think there’s some confusion on stuff, Catty Woods is non-profit organization, I know people are weary to donate money and help out cause they think “oh these guys are just trying to make some money for themselves”. Its totally not like that, will never make money off the woods, its a complete non profit to keep the trails running every year. Its great the help we do get but its just not enough. If people want proof and documents on our costs of insurance and non profit status we can provide it. Call us sell outs or whatever you want but we have legit trails that will never get plowed as long as we pay for the insurance. One big event or contest down there can pay for the woods for years to come. The fund raising we do ourselves helps out a lot, but you get burnt out on it, and too many people come along and just expose the woods for themselves and make some money and don’t even help us out. From now on if you expect to take photos or film for a video and its gonna be published you will have to pay a fee. I mean if people are taking a few photos for a day and get payed 500 dollars for that the least you can do is throw a little of that money our way. I’m not saying everyone does this, but the few people who help out is awesome and we cant thank everyone enough for what they have done for the woods. Now you can go on and rant out about the big time companies that wont help out the little guys, but hopefully somehow will talk to the right people and all this money we need will be a thing of the past and the trails will be funded for years to come. and once again thanks to everyone who has helped we wouldn’t of made it this far, support the companies that are linked on the right side as they have helped us out….

whats a going on

The bike night at the Main Gate got moved to next Tuesday which is the 29th, same deal as before 6-10pm, etc. Good trail sessions lately, weather is awesome. Now for some not so good news, money funds are running low and if we dont come up with enough money for insurance by October the trails will be shutdown. We try to raise and get as much money as possible but its just not enough to keep us going. We made a portfolio for companies to check out to hopefully help us out, all we need is one big company to help out and things will be good. I guess we just dont know the right people and hopefully someone can guide us in the right direction to talk to the right people. So send us an email if you can help and you know the right people to talk to for some big companies and please pass on the portfolio. thanks

summer!!

First official day of summer today but its felt like summer already with this crazy heat lately. First off check the orchid site for details on the jam coming up for the 4th. Finally got to watch the Deluxe DVD and the Compression DVD, great trail dvds, get yourself copies if you can. It nice to see all trail riding videos, you dont see that much anymore and the scene over in France and England, just seems insane right now, tons of trails all over the place. And now for a few pics, click on to see full size

stuff going on

First off thunderstorm season started and it sucks, even with tarps after 10 minutes of a Tstorm the trails get gutted. Now for 4th of July it looks like Derek Adams owner of Orchid is having a jam at his backyard trails. Its gonna be a good time with bands playing and a chance to win a ride in a helicopter!! Will be selling the new Catty Woods shirts there and hopefully those shirts will be online for sale any day now. Also this coming Tuesday the 22nd is bike night at Main Gate in Allentown. Starting at 6pm – Weather permitting
TUESDAY 6/22/2010

Maingate Nightclub – the Valley’s largest Bike Night, will be hosting the
CATTY TRAILS BENEFIT BIKE WASH.
The bikes will be there, we just need to bring the babes.

If you want more details on that just send an email.

And Im sure you seen the new pa trails video on espn, if not go check it out now.

Car wash went well except for the rain then, thanks to everyone who helped. Might have some other fundraisers in the works as well, casino night, bike nights, etc. Not to go on on a rant but once again it looked like Red Bull dropped the ball with that contest in Chicago, its insane the amount of money they put into these one day contests. No companies even seem to want to bite on helping us out. Its a win win situation for them but whatever, they rather throw money around on useless stuff. Once again we are not begging for money but its just the fact we need a lot of money to keep the trails going every year….
